Welcome to "Back Into the Sun" -- the fanlisting for The Magnificent Ambersons (both the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Booth Tarkington and the 2002 remake of the Orson Welles classic, starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Madeleine Stowe, Bruce Greenwood, Gretchen Mol, James Cromwell, William Hootkins and Jennifer Tilly).  The Magnificent Ambersons is one of my favorite books, as well as one of my favorite movies.  It is the story of the wealthy, powerful Amberson family -- who, in turn-of-the-century Indianapolis, are at the very top of high society.  But not for long: a series of events takes place that sends the Amberson family into a downward spiral.  This is a story driven by characters, and by the intricate relationships they share with one another.
