Welcome to "Knit Souls," the fanlisting for the relationship between David and Jonathan.

David and Jonathan are two characters from the Bible who form an incredibly strong relationship
with one another during their time together. Their story can be found in 1 Samuel; I'll try to
summarize the beginning of it here. David was favored by Israel's King Saul -- when he came to
Saul's camp, he met Saul's young son Jonathan for the first time. Jonathan saw David and in that
one instant, "the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his
own soul." [1 Samuel 18:1] Hence the title for this fanlisting, "Knit Souls"! Some people believe
that David and Jonathan shared something more than friendship, perhaps a romance. Other people
believe that David and Jonathan were simply the greatest and truest of friends, more like brothers.
Whatever side of the debate you may fall on: this fanlisting is for everyone.

particular subject. In this case the subject is obviously David and Jonathan's relationship.
