I. Welcome
Welcome to "Proprietor of the Universe" -- The George Amberson Minafer Fanlisting.  George is the main character in Booth Tarkington's Pulitzer Prize winning novel The Magnificent Ambersons -- and consequently has been the main character in the various film versions of TMA (notably the 2002 version starring Jonathan Rhys-Meyers).  I've read a lot of books, and seen a lot of movies, and I have to say that George Minafer is, without a doubt, one of my favorite characters of all time.  This might surprise many of you, as George is incredibly arrogant, spoiled, egotistical, snobbish, stubborn, domineering...the list of adjectives could go on forever.  Yes, he's flawed.  But that's what makes him interesting, in my opinion.  TMA is primarily a story about the struggle that George's rich family must endure against a rapidly changing world -- and one of the story's themes is that of redemption, specifically George's.

What is a fanlisting?  A fanlisting is a group of fans from all over the world of one particular subject.  In this case the subject is George (obviously!).  "Proprietor of the Universe" is also proud to be approved by The Fanlistings.org.
