King's Quest VI Trivia
Title: King's Quest VI -- Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow
Main Character: Prince Alexander of Daventry
Release Year: 1992
KQ6 Trivia:
i. (from The King's Quest Collection) The working title for the game
was "Genie, Meenie, Minie, Moe" (obviously after the genie that causes trouble
in the game).
ii. The only KQ game to feature a "break" in the storyline (there are two
paths you can take to solve the game...one is much, much shorter).
iii. (from IMDB.com) So many people called in to radio stations requesting
KQ's main theme, "Girl in the Tower" that some stations threatened Sierra
On-Line with lawsuits.
iv. The plot line for KQ6 was set up in the previous game, KQ5, when Princess
Cassima invited a smitten Prince Alexander to visit her in the Land of the
Green Isles.
v. Alexander was voiced by Robby Benson, who also voiced the Beast (and the
Beast's human form, the Prince) in the Disney movie Beauty and the
Beast.
vi. Captain Saladin was voiced by Tony Jay, who has had several other voice
acting gigs including Megabyte from "ReBoot" and Judge Frollo from Disney's
The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
