Welcome to "An Inn In Vermont," the fanlisting for the classic sitcom, "Newhart."

"Newhart" ran from 1982-1990 (eight seasons) on CBS. It starred Bob Newhart as Dick Loudon, a writer of how-to books who decides to take up innkeeping
in Vermont. He is accompanied by his beautiful and sensible wife, Joanna (played by Mary Frann). Upon arriving in the small town, they come across
several colorful locals: George Utley (played by Tom Poston) is the inn's somewhat dim-witted handyman; heiress Leslie Vanderkellen (played by Jennifer
Holmes) is hired as the inn's new maid; and Kirk Devane (played by Steven Kampmann), a compulsive liar, runs the nearby Minuteman Cafe.

A couple of seasons into its run, "Newhart" underwent some cast changes. After the first season, Leslie leaves town and is replaced by her shallow cousin,
Stephanie, also an heiress. After the second season, Kirk also exits, and the regular cast expands to include self-centered television producer
Michael Harris (played by Peter Scolari), who eventually becomes Stephanie's love interest. Other memorable characters include the new owners of the
Minuteman Cafe: Larry and his two brothers, Darryl and Darryl (played by William Sanderson, Tony Papenfuss and John Voldstad, respectively). Of these
three, Larry is the only one who ever talks.

The relatively sane Dick and Joanna are frequently drawn into the chaotic happenings of the other characters' lives, which makes for some very funny situations.

What is a "fanlisting"? A fanlisting is a group of fans from all over the world of one particular subject. In this case the subject is obviously "Newhart."

"An Inn In Vermont" is proud to be approved by The Fanlistings.org.
