Welcome to "Lonely Souls," the fanlisting for the novel Tamsin, by Peter S. Beagle.

The novel focuses on teenager and native New Yorker Jenny Gluckstein, who is forced to move
with her mother, new step-father and step-brothers to an old farm in the English countryside.
Jenny is in some ways a typical adolescent: she's moody, smart-mouthed, and frequently given
to arguing with anyone who crosses her. She's also clever, curious, stubborn and brave. These
things come in handy as she explores her new home, Stourhead Farm, which just happens to be
haunted. One of the many other-worldly residents is Tamsin, the ghost of a teenage girl who
died over 300 years ago. Tamsin's spirit is troubled by dark happenings in her past, and she
is trapped on the farm for a mysterious reason. As Jenny and Tamsin bond, Jenny begins to un-
cover the dangerous secrets of Stourhead, and the events that unfold along the way change her
life forever.
